Carnegie Science Center Chick Hatchery Protest

When:	Saturday, April 22, Noon - 5 PM Candlelight Vigil that evening 7 - 9 PM
Where:	Carnegie Science Center Allegheny Avenue & North Shore Drive Pittsburgh, PA
Why:	The Carnegie Science Center opened a Chick Hatchery as part of a new science program for children. The Center hatches a continual stream of motherless baby chickens in mechanical incubators for display on metal and plastic. Then the baby birds "disappear." This is a terrible lesson for children and a cruel fate for the birds. There is no Earth Day for These Chicks.
Help us educate the public and eliminate the inhumane hatchery exhibit. Help us distribute our handout, *Citizens Against The Carnegie Chick Hatchery: UNNATURAL CRUEL * MISLEADING**
