New York Publicizes Veggie Pride Parade Sunday May 18, 2008

The first Veggie Pride Parade in America will take place in Greenwich Village, New York City, this coming Sunday May 18 starting at Noon. Organized by the VivaVegie Society, the Parade includes a Blazing Procession of Carrots and Pea Pods, Banners and Signs, concluding with a Festival in Washington Square Park featuring music, speakers, and exhibitors. UPC is an exhibitor and will carry “What Wings Are For” and “Stick Up For Chickens –Go Vegan” banners. Speakers include UPC president Karen Davis.
