Sunday, May 18, Noon to Night. First Veggie Pride Parade in America. Greenwich Village, New York City. Parade participants are encouraged to dress up in costumes and wear sign boards announcing their pride in their vegetarian lifestyle. June 6-8. Their Lives, Our Voices. Midwest Animal Advocacy Conference 2008 organized by Compassionate Action for Animals in Minneapolis. Brings together people from across the region for a high quality conference on helping animals with a focus on farmed animal advocacy efforts.
