Canandaigua Academy’s Chicken Slaughter Project Suspended

Plus Three EXCELLENT Letters Condemn the Project

Today’s Canandaigua Daily Messenger has a front-page article explaining that Canandaigua Academy’s high school chicken slaughter project is again suspended – this time by order of the New York State Department of Education. The Department has notified the Canandaigua City School District that, by law, it must get “a waiver from the education commissioner for the project.”

Read the article at: www.mpnnow.com/news/x1780972005/Canandaigua-Academy-s-Chicken-Project-on-hold.

Also in today’s Daily Messenger are three Letters To the Editor condemning the high school chicken slaughter project as pointless, cruel, and dishonest. Read these letters at: www.mpnnow.com/opinions/letters_to_the_editor.

Is there a new ray of hope and light here?
