The Geelong Council (a town 45 minutes west of Melbourne, Australia) is considering a permit that would allow EATMORE POULTRY to build a new 25 shed one million bird broiler 'city'.

Action Mag put in an objection and was told they were the only one to mention the cruelty! The new deadline date for objections is the first week of July when the hearing panel will make final decision.

Please write to the Geelong Council and tell them not to grant this permit. It would have a big impact and show the council that the animals ARE of importance.

The proposal is to build 25 sheds that would hold a total of one million broiler birds and would process 5 million a year on the property. Lots of neighbors are appealing because of the environment and local amenity of the area...please add your voice for the animals!
