"An Animal's Place," is the cover story of this week's New York Times Magazine. Author Michael Pollan's last cover article was "This Steer's Life." See: The current article attempts to persuade readers that both humans and nonhuman animals benefit more from alternative animal production than from humans adopting a vegetarian diet. This lengthy article is so full of sophistry that the magazine should, as a matter of journalistic integrity, grant equal time to a counter article.
