"Transforming Higher Education Into an Ethical Space and Place for Learning" is the theme of the 7th Annual Conference for Critical Animal Studies sponsored by the Institute for Critical Animal Studies.

UPC President Karen Davis, PhD will speak from 2-2:45 PM on the topic of "Moving Beyond the Rhetoric of Apology to Affirmative Action for Animals."

The Institute for Critical Animal Studies (ICAS) is the first interdisciplinary scholarly center dedicated to promoting critical scholarly dialogue and research in the principles and practices of animal advocacy, animal protection, and animal-related policies in the fields of social sciences and humanities.
