We would like to invite you to a thought-provoking live podcast event hosted by Species Unite, focusing on an animal that many people sadly overlook: chickens.

Did you know that chickens are the most abused land animal on the planet? Shockingly, each year, a staggering 50 billion chickens are raised and slaughtered for meat, with around 5 billion more kept for egg production.

Species Unite President and Founder, Elizabeth Novogratz, will be joined by Karen Davis, Ph.D., the President and Founder of United Poultry Concerns (UPC), to help challenge our assumptions and inspire us to see these remarkable birds in a whole new light.

UPC is a nonprofit organization that promotes the compassionate and respectful treatment of domesticated birds including a sanctuary for chickens in Virginia. Inducted into the National Animal Rights Hall of Fame for Outstanding Contributions to Animal Liberation, Karen is the author of numerous books, essays, articles and campaigns.

During this event, Karen Davis will share her lifelong journey of advocating for these animals, leaving you with a fresh perspective and a deeper appreciation for the compassionate treatment of these often-misunderstood animals.

Please mark your calendar and RSVP to secure your spot for this remarkable event. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to respond ASAP!
