Freddaflower Memorial & Appreciation Fund
The pain of losing them is the price we pay for the privilege of knowing them and sharing their lives . . .
We thank those people who have contributed to our work with recent donations In Loving Memory and in Honor and Appreciation of the following beloved family members and friends, both those who have passed away and those who are with us.

Freddaflower
in loving memory of Zoë, my siamese-mix cat who passed away at home on April 6, 2024. She was 19 years old. Zoë was a very beautiful, sweet and loyal cat. I miss her daily. Gone but not forgotten and always loved. – Anita Garcia
Rest in peace, most precious Karen! What would we and all the birds and other creatures have done without you? You were indeed a guiding light! Such a trail you blazed! – Kay Inks
In memory of Karen, I am making a donation to UPC to help in the care of poultry at your sanctuary and to apply toward your wonderful work. – Mary Ellen Pastacaldi

In loving memory of Karen, also the innocent duck lured from her home and tortured beaten and strangled by 6 Kennett High School football players (safety in numbers, hey big strong men), the sweet emus, and cutie, precious turkey. – Diane and Michael Bahr
My soul weeps for the loss of Karen Davis. Her poetry is one of her many gifts she left. My love goes out to all the chickens and turkeys that surely miss her. – Trish Tereskiewicz
In memory of Karen Davis, a powerful, eloquent activist and colleague. We miss you, we love you. We will continue to work for the realization of your dreams. – Sheila Schwartz
I’m sending a donation for your Kaporos Rescue Team in honor of Karen Davis. I’ve known Karen since 1991, when I first joined UPC, and I have several personal letters from her, which I cherish. She was my mentor, and I often based my own actions with chickens on “What would Karen do?” I miss her terribly, though we never actually met face to face. She will forever be the standard by which all of us who continue to fight for the welfare of chickens and other abused birds and animals will base our own actions and motives! Thank you for continuing her work. Keep up the good fight! For the Birds. – Barbara Moffit
In memory of Karen Davis and all she did for the birds. – Beth Schlansky
