UPC is delighted to welcome Peepers and Benedict to our sanctuary. We adopted these two wonderful roosters from Howard County Animal Control & Adoption Center in Columbia, Maryland and drove them to our sanctuary on April 7, 2025. They were among 5 roosters surrendered by a woman who thought she was buying 8 hens from a local farmer, but 5 of the 8 turned out to be roosters. Our hens are very curious about these handsome and vibrant roosters! And all the birds are enjoying the arrival of spring weather.
