UPC’s Hope Bohanec Speaking at Berkeley Vegan Earth Day
Sunday, April 30
David Brower Center
2150 Allston Way
Berkeley, CA
UPC’s Projects Manager Hope Bohanec will be speaking at the 7th Annual Berkeley Vegan Earth Day. Her presentation is called No Eco-Meat: Don't just switch from beef to fish & chicken, get the slaughterhouse out of your kitchen.
It’s widely reported that beef and dairy production are accelerating climate change, but did you know that chicken meat, eggs, and fishing are wreaking havoc on our planet as well? Not only the Earth, but the animals suffer terribly. It has now been scientifically proven that chickens and fish suffer pain and fear, feel joy and friendship, and that they are totally sentient individuals. Come learn more about these amazing animals and how we can protect them, and by protecting them, protect the Earth as well.
Hope is speaking from 12:00 – 12:45 pm.
