Animal dyeing has been illegal in Florida for the past 45 years, but a new bill would overturn the ban on this cruel practice. Most dyed chicks and rabbits purchased as novelty pets for Easter end up abandoned. Many end up in overburdened animal shelters. Many die from the toxic chemicals in the dye.
