Ask Glens Falls Wing Fest to Please Kick the Bloody Bucket

Please join Coalition of Animal Rights Enthusiasts in once again calling for the Glens Falls Collaborative to reimagine their annual Wing Fest in Glens Falls, New York, by making it an ALL VEGAN spring festival. We are calling on the organizers to rename Wing Fest to Spring Fest, replace the current chicken logo with a non-offensive design, and make the event entirely vegan.

Since the event is around Earth Day, it could be tied to that theme, with restaurants creating a vegan dish to celebrate life rather than death. Many cities across the country host Vegan Restaurant Weeks or similar celebrations where restaurants develop a special vegan dish just for the event. These initiatives are extremely popular, and many participating restaurants end up adding vegan entrées they previously didn’t offer.

“The chickens try to hide their head from you by sticking it under the wing of the chicken next to them on the slaughter line. You can tell by them looking at you, they’re scared to death.”
– Virgil Butler, former Tyson chicken slaughterhouse worker

What Can I Do?

Please politely email Nancy Turner, president of the Glens Falls Collaborative, at ourglensfalls@gmail.com and ask her to please kick the bloody bucket and stop celebrating dead wings. Encourage her to turn the event into something that is truly collaborative and positive for our earth and all it's inhabitants.

Please join CARE from 12PM - 3PM on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 to table, leaflet, protest, and call on the Glens Falls Collaborative to re-imagine Wing Fest as an all vegan spring festival. Volunteers are needed for various roles. Please reach out to animalrightsenthusiasts@gmail.com or visit the Facebook Event page. Thank you!
