New Hatchery Video Shows the Miseries Forced on Newly-Hatched Birds
Today the animal advocacy organization Compassion Over Killing (COK) released an undercover video of the brutal treatment of newborn chickens and ducklings at Cal-Cruz Hatcheries in Santa Cruz, California. Although the Santa Cruz County Animal Services Authority corroborated the video evidence of overwhelming cruelty to the baby chicks and ducklings at the hatchery, the District Attorney’s office told COK it will not prosecute the hatchery for violations of state anti-cruelty laws.
