From United Poultry Concerns' website (www.upc-online.org/respect/2012/): INTERNATIONAL RESPECT FOR CHICKENS DAY, MAY 4 is an annual project launched by United Poultry Concerns in 2005 to celebrate chickens throughout the
world and protest the bleakness of their lives in farming operations. The entire month of May is International Respect for Chickens Month!
UPC urges "Please do an ACTION for chickens on or around May 4." OTCA will hold a feed-in with free vegan baked goodies at Let's Eat Charles Street,
an outdoor event to promote restaurants and other businesses on or near Charles Street. Look for us at the booth for Cyclops Books, which has
generously agreed to share their space with us. We'll distribute information on living vegan, and replacing eggs and dairy products in baked goods and
savory dishes. While we do not need help staffing this event, we would love it if you could drop by and say hello! Last year, there was a great deal
of delicious vegan food for sale at this event!
When:
Saturday May 12th, 12:00 - 2:00pm, or until we run out of baked goodie samples!
Where:
300 block of N. Charles Street, between Saratoga and Mulberry Streets, Baltimore, MD. Look for Cyclops Books' booth!
