Recently NPR interviewed composer-pianist Kit Armstrong, a 13-year-old prodigy who currently plays with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. In the NPR segment, Kit played his short, zesty sonata entitled "Chickens on Parade."
Kit apparently has a couple of chickens whom he has spent time observing, and these birds inspired this dignified and enjoyable piece of music. You can listen to it here:
