Is It Hard – or Easy – To Be Vegan?
UPC President Karen Davis will address five questions that people most frequently ask about giving up meat, dairy and eggs. She will answer your questions about a vegan diet and lifestyle starting with "What Does It Mean To Be Vegan?" and "What Would I Have to Do To Change My Diet?"
- Friday-Monday, July 27-30: Taking Action for Animals Washington, DC. UPC will host an exhibit table.
- Thursday-Sunday, August 2-5: Animal Rights National Conference Washington, DC. UPC will host an exhibit table and UPC president Karen Davis will address issues relating to domestic fowl and effective farmed animal & vegan advocacy.
- Friday & Saturday, November 9-10: "Finding a Niche for All Animals: A Conference Honoring the Ecofeminist Work of Marti Kheel. Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT. UPC will host an exhibit table and UPC president Karen Davis will discuss Marti's view of nonhuman animals as more than mere "sufferers" but rather as whole beings with a repertoire of cognitive/emotional/social dimensions and experiences which they share with us.
